ALL ON A SATURDAY NIGHT

So its been a really fun last couple of days. we dyed our hair.

(sorry really crappy picture)

and then we went to dinner at the snow dragon it was very yummy!

then it was rodeo time!

chris' best friend tanner and his fiance cali and her friend marley came up with us. it was a blast! and then some of tanners friends sat with us so here was our friend tally. me chris tatum tanner cali marley devin jordan and kolten he just got home from his mission too!

haha so yeah it was a good ol time we got attacked by bugs so we decided that we would leave a little early. it was so weird they did the bull ridin first.. any ways so we went to mayfield because that is where tanner use to live and we stopped by his familys dairy farm which i proceeded to....

let the new calfs suck on my fingers!! :]

sorry its a really bad picture but all we have is a phone and it was pitch black outside. but it was so much fun! tanner said i can go back soon and bottle feed them im super excited. anyone that knows me knows that i am obssessed with baby cows! dont believe me? look at my old journal.. haha so any who, after that we went up in the hills where they ride their dirt bikes and had us a little fire. it was pretty funny to see these boys make a fire outta notebook paper WD40 and a log. but none the less we got it goin, turned on the music and us a good time in the mountains round the fire watchin the lightin storm in the distance.

HELLO NEW YORK CHEESECAKE

man is it hot out there.. yesterday me chris tatum and alyssa (one of our other roomies) decided to head down to maverik (sorry mamma.. its the only one) and we got some frozen yougurt that was super yummy im officially addicted to the cheesecake flavor minus the calories.

we are starting to learn how to beat the heat since our doorm doesnt have air conditioning along with juan aka my car. but whats life without a few bumps in the pavement right?

ps.. got this baby from a tree when we were walkin to yoga last night

COLLEGE ADVENTURES

so yesterday was our last day that we didnt have classes.

so we decided that we would live it up..

so we went and shopped for food which we purchased.

and..

(ps thats chris' wieners.. pfthaha)

so .. yeah it was quite interesting.

after that we drove out to mayfield(for the 3rd time).

we were suppose to be hangin with one of chris' motocross friends named ty.

so got there and no sign.

we drove to gunnison to the nearest grocery store to pick up a tide pen for the accident prone christopher who spilled his red frazzle on his white shirt.

so it was a pretty ordinary day.

today was our first day of classes.

it went good.

american civilizations.

math.

sociology.

and yoga tonight.

MISSING HOME

tonight has been the first night where i really miss my family out here at snow.. its crazy to think how much we have all grown now shad is married with his beautiful family in california. corey is in saratoga with britt. ryan off exploring the world and me in college. i miss all of us bein home and joking around laughing and having dinner together. i miss the teasing, the laughing, and even the rough times. somedays i wish that we could all go back to when we were kids and didnt have to worry about the grown up things. i love my family more than anything and being away from it makes me realize how much they have made me who i am. i will never be able to write how amazing my family is but just know that i have the best and i will go to the mat on that one. i love you guys.

FIRST TRIP HOME.

so today me and tate went back up to south jordan to see chris do his homecoming talk (two and a half weeks later) haha he did amazing though it was so great he was just so happy and it was such a great example to me in how god can be a true father to you. 

let me catch everyone up on christopher richard shupe. he served his mission with ryan in england and he got my address from ry we were writing about 6 months before we became "official" may 23, 2011.  so its almost been 9 months since we started talkin. but he is amazing he has helped me out so much and just influences me in a positive way that everyone needs. i love this kid.


so on a sad note.. on the way home tonight we got home and tate started to complain about her bag bein soggy so we lifted up the floor mat and my floor board was soaked so i called daddy dearest and he sadly told me that my hearter core went out and its going to be a big fix. so sadly juan is possibly a goner and i will have to go through college without him it makes me kinda sad he was my first car and i had all my high school memories with him. but all things must come to an end one day.

A LIFE CHANGING REFLECTION.

Tonight i have been thinking back on my trip to kenya and realizing what an amazing opportunity i got to have there. not only did i get to spend some much needed time with my mom and love her even more and realize what an amazing women she is, but i got to meet some amazing people like..

Kellen.

this women is the most hardworking human being to have ever crossed my path. always in the kitchen making sure we were all fed and happy. she was my momma kellen.

THE HINGA FAMILY.

grace, me, alice, david, and mom. the nicest family who give everything they have to their church and the community especially tumaini. they welcomed us into their home and treated us as a part of their family and i can say that we left as just that.

because of these people and many many others i will be forever changed. i will never forget the many experiences i had, like getting shoes for the kids or measuring their worn tired feet for new TOMS. seeing their thankful chocolate smeared smiles thanking us for the candy. their incredible laughter as they watched me and mom show them how "americans dance" i could go on and on... just always remeber that their are others out there that dont have what you do. their are some who have nothing. and thats no lie.

THE MOVE

well i have decided to become one of those girls that blog.. i know its hard to believe. I wanted to do this so that people can still catch up and follow my life, i know their arent many actually its probably just my mother but hey why not maybe it will help keep me sain while im livin the college dream.

so we moved into the dorm yesterday. and when i say we just know that im most likely meaning tatum.  we havent done too much mostly hid in our room laughed a lot and already had many fatalities. Tatum broke the bed, but we fixed it. She dropped an earring in the printer but she fixed it. we went to wal mart last night to get the essentials.. popcorn, ice cream, butter, and eggs. and we didnt have enough money to day for it.. (college dream my ass) we stayed up late staring out the window at out illuminated tree which we have become quite fond of and laughed till the wee hours of the morning. today hasnt been too exciting we've mostly sat on our computers and listened to music. went to the bookstore tried to be good students but it wasnt much of a success. thats all i have for you today.
